I did some poking around Plastic-Man comic books from after when Jack Cole (the character's creator) stopped writing them, and the books became much more horror comics. This is from a July 1956 cover-dated book --- https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=14648 page 4 --- that Jack Cole did pencil and ink at least; no idea about the writer. In it, a rather amiable if round fellow has whipped up a something or other that created a water monster, dubbed Mr Aqua because why not. Mr Aqua ends up being a rather interesting goofy-looking yet menacing creature, not afraid to go out casually drowning folks. I can't say the story resolves well, but it's fun to do some liquid figures.
