Vice Commander Herrin is starting to put together the circumstances of Gervic's treatment. Pretty obvious that Gervic wasn't given any full/hot meals since his capture at the fall of Castle Ulrys. Gervic's tears of satisfaction and gratitude are nice to see after all this time. I figured that Vlagg would want to ask Gervic a lot of questions about the events that happened following the castle siege. If Bob's upset and pulling his "clan leverage" cards now, Bob's going to be incredibly mad when Vlagg finds out from Gervic what really went on with the magical artifacts that Bob's been attempting to get his hands on. Gervic knows some of the most potentially damaging information on Bob that anyone could at this point: that Bob's rage and internal desire to travel back in time and kill all wolves stems from watching the wolves assault his village and kill his family/friends. So far, I've wondered why Gervic didn't attempt to use telling Bob about his family's death to gain a temporary moment of advantage to escape from or attack Bob. Now, I'm starting to think that it might have been the right move; he's learned enough about Bob without Bob's knowledge. Gervic has more pieces of the the story than previously thought. What was concerning previously was whether or not Bob understood the ramifications of time travel and changing the actions of the past; whether it would cause more wolves or dragons to die by accident. Things are slowly coming to a head; I look forwards to seeing how this whole thing plays out now that Bob's been exposed. If Bob had half a brain, it would be a priority of his to silence Gervic as soon as possible. Vlagg's pretty intelligent; he's a commander after all. Has Vlagg figured out where Bob's recent injury probably came from?
A side note: Gervic's back scars are missing in the first panel.
