A careful, kind badger, Barton tends to look out for others, as well as his friends. The badger does have something of a curious eye to him, eyes open for some opportunity or another. But, he does keep himself somewhat well reserved, considerate for others. That said, he is also something of a good leader, able to take charge of a situation if needed and help out where needed. He is also something of a very good friend, something that Roy and Ken can add to. While there isn't a lot that angers the badger, though, he will jump to aid if needed, or he finds out his friends are in danger.

Working as the Dean in the Lunar Academy, the badger finds it a tiny bit of a struggle, having to look after the students, while holding the highest position of where many a great pred comes from. Still, though, he works through, knowing that in the end, it's all worth it. Espeically when he has a loving family, as well as many friends by his side. And his adopted sons, Canis and Malis, who would just as easily jump to protect him just as he would protect them, despite their mischief and antics.
