“She is rare because she is rare.”- Mark Anthony
Her paws lightly treaded across the corridor as she made her way to the throne room, the servants bowing and curtsying as she passed by them. Her regal beauty, though simple, was enough to make even the highest nobleman to stop and glance in her direction. She did not ask for or seek attention, yet others could not help but admire her. She smiled softly and nodded at each person, making sure to acknowledge their presence and respect towards her.
Her hair adorned in the finest jewels, clips, and pins, she hurried to the dining hall, where a large banquet awaited her.
What was the occasion you ask? Her friend, or rather, a dear client, had invited her over to a dinner in her honor for saving his life! She intervened an attack another assassin was attempting to make on his life, saving him and his family. While she typically declined being fussed over in most cases, Whisper was not the type of woman to turn down free food! As soon as she accepted, her friend sent her an intricate red and gold kimono to wear for the occasion, along with setting up an appointment with a hairdresser to do her hair.
“All this fuss just to get a free meal…” Whisper begrudgingly huffed, yet even she was in awe at how lovely she looked when all was said and done. As she stepped into the entrance way, the lights from overhead shined on her silver hair and gems from her kimono, making her appear to glow…at least brighter than her spirit already did.
Her friend, along with a few guests, immediately stood up at her presence and began to clap for her- yet she immediately stifled them.
She didn’t feel she was worthy of such attention, nor was she used to it.
She was just being herself.
And that is what made her unique~
I am not going to lie, Whisper could easily pass for royalty: isn’t she gorgeous?!
I love the fact that Whisper is so multifaceted, she can go from a skilled, kill-happy assassin, to a regal princess with minimal to no effort.
So why isn’t Whisper a goddess or princess?
It does not suit her personality, at least for long periods of time. Afterall, Whisper is a reflection of myself, so it would be…unrealistic for her to just sit and rule a kingdom or be pampered all day. She likes going out, fighting, and causing trouble (especially the latter). I have a feeling if Whisper was a queen, she would purposely try to cause wars with neighboring villages, towns, and countries just to entertain herself (she would, I don’t doubt it at all, haha).
Nonetheless, as her creator, I do enjoy seeing her drawn in a different light. That and even Whisper deserves to be treated like royalty occasionally, especially as much as she puts up with in her life.
I want to give a huge thanks to the talented artist behind this piece: Alessa_Suicidedreamer. I want everyone to look at the stunning job that she did on this piece: particularly the detail in the jewelry; it looks SO realistic! You can tell she put a lot of effort and time into this piece! She went above and beyond my expectations! Highly recommended- needless to say, I will definitely be working with her again. Thank you so much~
