Hee Ho. Hello there everyone. I did try and promise to post everyday there, although unfortunately a bundle of IRL stuff popped up that had me dragged away form online for a bit. Only appearing here and there, but I assure you all everything is perfectly alright.
Now! This is one of my older sketches here. Maybe a few months ago and I did at least want to share them and some weapons I designed for the Fruit Kobolds to use during the “War against the Mimins.” When the Mimin Armada raided a fantasy/primitive planet and was suddenly halted by a defected soldier known as “P4NF” (PiK.) The weapons on the left are all weapons he produced and designed for his soldiers to use against against them. The Mimins actually had space tech superiority, but was halted by PiK’s easy and cheap weapons that were able to be mass produced and given to soldiers.
The weapons on the right are a bit of a wild card situation. Some of these weapons did see use in the Mimin War, but they’re also used across the universe in the setting. (Minus the Marauder.)
I’m mostly posting this also as I wanted to give some world building details as well. A lot of these weapons were inspired by both world wars in actual history. I used references of several weapons and a lot of them look insanely similar to what they were inspired by. If it’s not broken? Don’t fix it. I wanted to draw something different for once and attempt to design some fire-arms.
Also enjoy that little fruity guy over there. He's not actually scaled to the size of the weapons, but happy lizard is a happy lizard. Now onto explaining and detailing the weapons and their history!
The BH-14 rifle. (Kobold-Tech)
This rifle is one of the first guns ever produced from PiK's high tech forge. The gun was created for long range encounters and to be an upgrade to be used by Fruit Kobold Heavy Crossbowmen. The BH-14 has 5 rounds and can easily pierce through both Pirated Spacer Gear and well as Fancy Fantasy Gear they may come across. It's easy and quick to produce, and gets the job done. This main fire-arm was the most mass produced in the war against the Mimin Armada. This weapon was also known as the "New Hope Rifle." The reason for this is that when the Captain started to produce these weapons... The Fruit Kobolds stood a much higher chance against the local fantasy races and Mimin Armada.
The SB-18 (Kobold-Tech)
The SB-18 is a sub machine gun meant for close quarters combat. Kobolds who wield these originally were knights of some sort or billmen. The gun has a stick magazine that can hold up to 30 rounds. This gun was the second most produced main fire-arm in the war against the Mimin Armada. Originally these guns used to have drum rounds, but they were prone to jamming and the gun had to be redesigned. The name of that old weapon was the SBK-14 which had a Drum Magazine that held 60 rounds.
The KBT (Kobold-Tech)
The KBT also known as the "Kobold Bomb Thrower" is one of the more unique weapons made to battle against the Mimin Armada. Kobold's were already great at making explosives and other dangerous concoctions... So why not make a weapon that can propel them at a distance? This weapon was loaded with Anti-Tank and Vehicle concoctions as well as ones that can destroy Infantry and Buildings. It was quite the versatile weapon thanks to the bombs and explosive flasks the Kobolds could make. PiK often had to tell them to stop attempting to fire it from enclosed positions and that they needed a two man crew to wield one of these.
The MGB-46 (Kobold-Tech)
The MGB-46 is a massive heavy machine gun that was at one point made for locking down sectors. This weapon was inspired by old-war tech that the Plantarans used long ago for it's different abilities on the battlefield. Being able to be mounted, crewed and even fired from the hip. Most Kobolds found themselves to be absolutely infatuated by the weapon. Usually getting excited to even own one and would covet it like a gem or a big bag of coins. The Captain claims that without the production of this weapon... That there would be no way they would've won the war. Being the MVP weapon of Captain PiK's army thanks to it's extreme versatility. Even when the Fruit Kobolds advanced to plasma weaponry and space guns you can still see this weapon still being used to this day.
The Panther (Mimin-Tech? Kobold-Tech? Plantaran-Tech!?!?)
The Panther is a modified Mimin Tech pistol that PiK produced as a back up weapon for Kobolds to use. He did not have the exact schematics and attempted to assemble it from his own side arm he was given before defecting from the Mimin Armada.. The Panther is actually a bit better than the original cause it was actually an already torn together and was a repurposed Plantaran Repeater Pistol. This gun is semi-automatic and carries a magazine that holds 18 rounds. The weapon actually seems way more advanced than the others being issued for it's time period. The reason for this is thanks to how many times it was reverse engineered to fit into a Fruit Kobold's hands. The Mimin Armada became terrified of rushing Kobold Rifleman for this very weapon and dared not to step into their trenches and dug-outs.
The Plantaran Plasma Rifle (Plantaran-Tech)
The Plantaran Plasma Rifle is also known as the P54 Carbine Plasma Shot. This weapon is an assault rifle that can hold up to 45 shots per magazine. The weapon is set to a forced burst fire mode, but this can be modified. This gun is usually issued to ground troopers of the Plantaran Republic... It is also one of the most modified guns out there in the Galaxy. Constantly bootlegged, made with different attachments and it is known as the "Grandfather" gun to Zedepians... This gun also has a history of overheating... and exploding in it's users hands...
Dr. Love's Zippity-Blap! (Dr. Love)
Dr. Love's Zippity-Blap is a gun that breaks a lot of Plantaran Republic's laws. Such as this gun being a fully automatic carbine and having a "Charged" mode for it's plasma shots. These shots are nowhere near as big as the P54, but they're just as dangerous. This gun is also modified for mostly her android's to use as a normal person may find it difficult to use the sighting system on it.
Dr. Love's Triple Barrel o Fun! (Dr. Love)
Another gun that is also considered heavily illegal for the Plantaran Republic's standards. The reasoning as once again this shotgun has a charge mode and... well... it's a shotgun in general. The reason it has three barrels? To quote Dr. Love "Who needs practicality when you have style? Having an illegal shotgun is one thing, but one that's modified? I think your enemy would piss their pants right there and then." This shotgun holds up to 15 rounds per magazine.
The Zip Zap (Plantaran Tech)
The Zip Zap is a gun with three names. The PL13 and the "Dead Man's Tazer." This gun is one of the most used plasma pistols in the Ultric Sector. The gun though is somewhat of a disaster. Having a magazine that thankfully recharges and produces it's own ammunition. Although that is one of the causes of it's major downfalls. It is not uncommon for people to use them as "Home-Made grenades" and for them to be tossed at someone to kill them in a pinch. The reason they're used so much? They're beyond cheap and affordable in comparison to some weapons on the market. Sometimes this gun is better than no gun at all and is classified as a civilian weapon. Unfortunately this weapon was also the side arm of most Mimin Armada Grunt Soldiers. In the fight with PiK's forces they would throw their guns in mass as grenades into Kobold Trenches.
The Marauder (Mimin Tech)
This weapon is under the list of "Overkill" weaponry. It has four rounds and each of them cause a massive explosion of plasma from extremely far distances. The weapon is deemed "impractical" and a "toy to terrify the primitives with." It was issued to only a single commander who could barely aim down the sights of it. After it was liberated by PiK's army the sniper rifle went to Rain. Thankfully they got some use out of it as it was used to destroy Mimin Mechs and other Heavy Vehicles that the enemy managed to deploy. Only bad thing is that Plasma clips were very hard to come by and it wasn't effective against much else. Only one has ever been produced and it's uncertain what the original model was before the Mimin's modified it.
