This whole story originated the day I visited the B-29 FIFI for the first time and fell in love with the idea of preserved touring warbirds. I wanted a story that might inspire more people to take an interest in supporting these groups when their planes come to visit their area, especially since that one visit to FIFI has now resulted in my visiting and supporting every WWII aircraft to visit my area including seeing FIFI 3 times, two B-17s, a B-24, and several fighters and cargo planes.
