This nicely proves what i keep saying: There is no such thing as too many books. There only are too few bookshelves.

Especially as the filling principle exists, that if there are empty book shelves the books will multiply to full them.

I saw one once.... when I built my wife more than 600 linear feet of book shelves, she quickly filled em.

It is easily three times the length of the outer walls of the house we live in. So unless yous ceilings rival that of a cathedral, we gotta be talking massive size (by European standards)
I am using the bookshelves here as a divider of sorts - to separate the office/computer area from the rest of the living room. Plus I made the top of the shelves accessible to our cat - so he can walk from the top of his scratching post all the way over to my desk.

Ah, I think we're talking linear feet in different ways, a 10 foot long wall with 8 shelves high is 80 linear feet all together for example is how I was calculating it. the total I made for the wife sadly takes up a couple of large walls in three rooms.

Book shelves do make good room dividers >^_^<
