“Whisper hurry up!” Running from booth to booth to see what each vendor had to offer, Amelia could not contain herself as she tried to figure out what she wanted to do, or what food she wanted to try next: there were SO many festivities available! Along with tasty foods to sample and buy as well. If only she had brought more money with her…she frowned as she rummaged in her coin purse: she had set a spending budget for herself, yet already spent most of it on food so far!
Not bothering to wait on Whisper any longer, Amelia headed to get some taiyaki and a candy apple. She wanted to some snacks before the fireworks began-
Glancing up at the sky, she wondered when the fireworks would start; the sky was starting to get dark, yet she knew they would not begin until the stars were visible: that was how it had been every year since she could remember.
The autumn festival was one of the biggest events in the city. Everyone who was anyone attended, if nothing else, to welcome in the season and cool weather. Others used the festival as an opportunity to pray for a productive season and good end to the year.
Amelia, however, was just happy to be out and about with her best friend, and have the opportunity to enjoy some tasty food.
It’s no secret that Amelia loves food.
And even though she is an introvert and a homebody, she is willing to make exceptions when it comes to festivals- even if it means being “social” and being around other people, ugh. Luckily, she brought Whisper along to keep her company!
Amelia is still around and fine! I just have not found many artists lately that draw humans to my liking, well of Amelia that is. Most of my long term watchers and friends know how picky I am about who draws her-

I love Japanese festivals :D Would also be one of the very few things to get me out >_< The stalls and fireworks on the hill at a shrine. I'm sad they aren't everywhere in the world :s Always great to see them at least in anime :3

Yes, I am a huge fan of Asian culture as well (as you can probably tell from my characters and the pieces I commission of them).
And noo, don't ever try to eat Amelia, and especially Whisper's food- they don't share well with others. Last person that tried that got bit...hard (lol).
Now if she likes you, she -might- share a little with you...maybe

And indeed, there is something captivating about the Asian culture. Some traditions like bamboo wishes, sending off lanterns, and their festivals, Japanese and Chinese in particular, that's just amazing to witness. And the dresses like kimono and yukata are so beautiful. (Would love to try one one day with someone >_< ) Talking about dresses, your seems to be quite different and open, almost like combination of kimono and the Chinese tight dresses considering the open sides. :o
