The stars are right again! Time for some more art from the iconic 
pac !
This is a character I came up with for a writing project I am working on with
Amethystine in his Ames Sond universe (anthro version of the James Bond world). I have been a Bond fanatic since childhood, and Amethystine was kind enough to let me explore a story idea with his own ideas. Big shout out to him!
This rat is Professor Heinrich von Graff, the villain of the story I am working on. He was born in 1899 in Prussia. The story takes place in 1988, so von Graff is 89 when the story starts. He was a chemistry genius in Imperial Germany, getting his start for apprenticing in the lab of Dr. Fritz Haber during the Great War. During the interwar period, he maintained a reputation as a foremost chemical expert. When the Nazis came to power in the early 30s, he joined to be able to get funding from the government to continue his work. During this time, he married Sigrid von Graff, and had two sons. Life seemed to be falling into place.
World War 2 took everything from Professor von Graff. The work he was forced to do for the Fuhrer robbed him of his self-respect. The war took his family from him and left him disfigured. By the time the war ended, von Graff was a shell of his former self. After the war, he fled to Britain under an assumed name, getting work at a newly opened chemical company. Von Graff became the hidden genius behind the company's success. Still, he had to remain behind the scenes, fearing he might be recognized.
Eventually, the company founder died, and the business passed to his son. The new President had two sons of his own. The first-born was the heir to the company, and clearly the favorite. The second son was largely ignored and neglected. Something clicked in the old rat, and he took a liking to the boy. Von Graff became a surrogate grandfather to the boy, and they became closer than any blood relative.
In 1988, as that boy grows into a man, a plot is hatched between him and the old chemist. A plot that threatens many thousands of lives. A plot that may force an assassin and one of the most famous secret agents in the world to join forces.
