I don't really know what I would use this for in terms of practicality, but I was bored and needed to pass the time while I was making charcoal. I decided to carve this from a flat slab of sassafras I had cut from a log.
It makes a neat little twine holder.
I do know that these are very useful for making nets, but I don't really need to make a net, nor need one at all.
