Sometimes, you don't need 7, or even 9 limbs. Sometimes, you don't need a head. But you don't want to be nothing at all, because you feel like having at least something for the time being.
This is one of those times for me. I keep my legs, because I love the way they feel crossed over each other (and also they help keep me upright, or adjust myself on the couch). And as for my face and eyes... well, I don't need them when I'm a blorb, I don't need them when I'm possessing an object, and I don't need them to see. They are useful, but optional.
