Fourth movement - "Scherzo." This movement is both frightening and fun to play for the flute, clarinet, and bassoon especially. Moto-Perpetuo eighth notes are handed from instrument to instrument in this wild ride. After an "intenso" chorale in the middle of the movement, the flying scherzo resumes and propels the music to its conclusion.

Oh wow, those parts where I could clearly hear your playing (I mean I could hear you in the other movements as well, but you were in the harmony!), you've got one of the nicest tones I've heard and the way you move from note to note is so smooth! Now I haven't heard much music that features the clarinet as a soloist, but you made the tones flow so naturally~ quite astounding! Say, when you perform, in which city do you usually play? I might be able to come by for one of your concerts (or are they recitals, or performances? I've never quite understood the difference), I have nothing planned for my next trip!
Those staccato chords that pop up all around the piece where played with gusto! Always surprising and thrilling, even after a couple of listens :D

Aw, thank you so much! ^o^ I have always made it a goal to keep a beautiful tone no matter what I was playing, so it is great to hear you liked it, especially in a movement that's as technically demanding as this one (when it might be a temptation to just focus on playing fast notes rather than sounding beautiful).
Well, as for where I perform, I'll have to send you a private message about that. Even though I keep a g-rated account here on FA, I still try to minimize the connection between Greggest and me as a real person. Where do you usually visit when you come to the US?

Wonderful to know that! Around these parts most performers just hit the right notes (almost perfectly), but they don't feel right!
Yes, I can see how that could lead to problems (it wouldn't around these parts, but then again I'm not living in my own country right now, so it's a different situation!)~ Well, I haven't gone often enough to the US to have a usual place, but every time I did visit I invariably went to New York City, might need to go elsewhere this time!
