"Asteria watches over us. Protects us. Guides us"
The high priestess of Asteria who has served and advised the royal family of Asteria for generations, with her elven lifespan being the main reason for that. She has seen Kings and Queens rise to power but also fall from grace. Spending her entire life dedicated to the goddess Asteria she is responsible for spreading the word of the goddess but also advising the monarch on religious impacts their actions may have.
A stern and focused woman she spends most of her life at the side of the monarch or travelling between the various temples across the land, not much is known about her personal life other than her dedication to Asteria. She has also acted as a mother figure to many, teaching them the morals and lessons needed for later life.
(Below is "The Truth"... which if you are interested in my fantasy world first of all thank you! But the next bit will be very "spoiler" filled and reveal the "Truth" of many characters and events that have taken place)
The Truth: Nivenor has been alive since the year 371 IR (Intermos' Reign) which was 371 years before the defeat and banishment of the dark lord Intermos making her one of the oldest living beings in the land of Asteria. In the year 5 IR she was one of the many heroes who resisted Intermos' reign and eventually brought about his end with his defeat in 1 IR ushering in a new era of AR (Asteria's Reign). Declaring herself the high priestess of this new religion she dedicated the next 20 years to routing out all forms of "blasphemy" as she doctored and changed the old texts and legends to suit the "New" Asteria. Working to create a religion to unite and bring peace to the world but also act as a form of control over the population.
With this new faith formed she began to glorify Asteria as the only goddess, a belief that would take root in most of the population while destroying all evidence of other gods or demonising those she could not. This in turn would cause conflict with the centaurs of the Tel'Mushriq desert. With her priorities being to control the masses to create a world of peace she assisted one of the Great Heroes that fought alongside her; Artemis Colburne to ascend the throne in place of Intermos and become the first in the Colburne lineage to be monarch. Using his trust to her advantage she implanted beliefs that would carry down to the current day monarch Amelia Colburne.
With control over the monarch and religion she had assumed power over the population but failed to foresee the unpredictability of those she watched over, when conflict and negativity formed she would be the one to resolve it from the shadows by any means neccesary. Whether it be influencing their actions through fear of the goddess' wrath or breaking them through torture in the most extreme cases.
In the year 253 AR conflict in the land of Ulcarin would begin to form with demons and other creatures lost without the guidance of their lord wandered the land disillusioned and lost or became feral and violent. With one sentence she sealed the fate of the two lands, by trying to end the threat of violence and hatred she had instead started it.
"They are filth, we must purge them from this land". Despite it not being in her personal beliefs she had become lost in the sea of her obsession, in an attempt to maintain peace she had instead invoked war with her own mind becoming as disillusioned as those she had judged. In an attempt to prevent either side going to war she acted as a "Whisper" or "Ghost" for the creatures of Ulcarin, giving orders under the guise of Intermos, ordering them to begin working on ways to resurrect him and to prevent the people of Lohrein from stopping them.
Her whispers would prove too successful with the creatures of Ulcarin kickstarting the resurrection of the dark lord, continuing to wander lost in her obsession she encouraged them. Pushing them to achieve their goal in hopes it would bring order and control to them as they work toward a common goal. Meanwhile outrage was brewing in Lohrein as conflict was sparked over the religion she had formed. With the centaurs of Tel'Mushriq claiming their goddess Mushurra had a place in this world while the people of Lohrein rejected this claim by stating Asteria was the only goddess.
What followed was the "War of the Sands" in the year 273 AR... Nivenor could only watch in horror as blood was spilled between the kingdoms with dead lining the ground she herself had claimed sacred... it was here the last shred of her focus seemed to snap... her dream of creating peace had been shattered with her mind blaming those she had guided... while failing to notice her own faults.
She would continue to act as a shadow of the land for centuries, playing all sides and seeming to have an influence in everything whether those affected knew it or not. She was controlling Lohrein politics, Ulcarin's march, Intermos' return, The Ruby Drake rebellion and everything else that lined the land... all while lost in her own scheme... having lost sight of what she had originally desired and driven to a shell of who she was. Watching war and conflict rage on she continued to curse those who had failed in her eyes, with each tragedy stoking her fires no matter what side it had affected, in the end she desired a single thing.
The end... she desired to see an end to her long life... with the current year being 1049 AR she was over a thousand years in age... and disgusted with what she had created. Her wish being to see the world wiped clean so she could try and build it anew. With her desire for peace having broken her.... yet she still could not see that the one who was pulling the strings was to blame.

371 IR - Born to elven parents in a small village, mother died on birth leaving her to be cared for by her father.
357 IR - Father dies to disease leaving Nivenor orphaned and in the care of a slave to Intermos
352 IR - Made a slave, spending most of her days harvesting crops for the demons controlled by Intermos
350 IR - Transferred to Intermos' side to act as a personal servant.
310 IR - Having earned the trust of Intermos she becomes an advisor but under his watchful eye, assists in keeping the peace among slaves who were willing to listen to her.
297 IR - Begins an underground rebellion which leads to the freedom of herself and thousands of slaves.
294 IR - 105 IR - Actively works against Intermos from the shadows
103 IR - Is captured and enslaved, execution is ordered but later cancelled by Intermos.
102 IR - Becomes a lover of Intermos, starting as an attempt to get close and assassinate him but later developed into Stockholm Syndrome.
99 IR - Miscarriages her first child of herself and Intermos, their relationship is kept private from the public.
97 IR - Miscarriages second child, becomes heartbroken and depressed.
96 IR - Attempts to throw herself off of the grand tower of Intermos, is prevented from doing so and kept under constant guard.
94 IR - Rescued by an assault squad while overlooking a slave mining quarry. Once again becomes part of a rebellion but is unwilling to actively participate in it.
94 IR - 26 IR - Disappears from public eye, choosing to live alone away from Intermos or the Rebellion
25 IR - Joins the Rebellion to try and get close to Intermos
5 IR - Becomes one of the 8 great heroes against Intermos
1 IR - Intermos defeated, Nivenor is saddened and develops a desire for a world without tragedy and war.
3 AR - Forms Religion of Asteria, begins destroying all evidence of other deities and twists history to her liking
21 AR - Assists Artemis Colburne to ascend the throne, acts as advisor till his death.
67 AR - Artemis dies and assists in raising his offspring, continuing to do this for generations.
253 AR - Conflict between Lohrein and Ulcarin begins to form, becomes a whisper to Ulcarin to try and maintain peace. Resurrection of Intermos begins.
273 AR - War breaks out between Lohrein and Tel'Mushriq over religion, Nivenor becomes disillusioned and upset with how the world has become.
325 AR - Continues to work as high priestess, visits the void of Intermos in hopes of speaking to him.
1017 AR - Princess Amelia Colburne is born, wet nursed and cared for by Nivenor.
1029 AR - Ruby Drake rebellion is formed against the Colburne lineage and its beliefs
1034 AR - Queen Amelia ascends the throne following her father's death
1038 AR - Current day, acts as advisor to Queen Amelia Colburne while secretly playing all sides in an attempt to attract the wrath of the goddess. Hopes to see the world wiped clean by any means neccessary.
