Little Polar Bear - ''The Pool Station''
Yet again, a picture from The Little Polar Bear short clips series, that ran during the early and mid 90's. I've got two this time, but I think I'll save the other one for another time.
- In this particular shot, we see polar bear Lars and his friend Lena the hare discovering a dangerous-looking Pool station. Lars, curious and naughty as he is, decides to take the near ice slide down the hill they are standing on, and manages to sneak into the building. But while he is busy exploring, one of the humans owning the property suddenly enters the exact same room Lars is currently in! Lars of course decides to hide for the big man, and crawls away into a dark corner of the room. Meanwhile, Lena the hare is still waiting for her friend at the Pool station's court. She is getting worried, so she climbs onto the roof via a stack of boxes and looks into an open shaft. That's when the human inside puts on his glasses, takes a look into the security camera from his computer screen and finds out about her presence. The man goes outside to go try and catch Lena, who's still on the station roof, and Lars secretly goes after the man. Fortunately, Lars manages to find his hare friend first, and tells her to jump. The human man is now climbing onto a wooden ladder to reach the upper roof in the process. Lars tells Lena to for God's sake, ''just JUMP! C'mon, you can do it! It's not that high to jump from!'' She does, and with that, BARELY avoids the grasp of the man, who charges into her. Together, Lars and Lena escape from the Pool station, with the man picking up his broken glasses and watching the two friends disappear behind the horizon.
