Senior Year in high school, My art class had an assignment for a local art gallery to draw a non domesticated animal. We were told we could use any materials and any animal we wanted as long as it was not a domesticated one. I decided on a Snow Leopard, why I don't remember. My teacher helped me with the idea to go with a black construction paper and to do individual strokes of the colored pencil to represent fur. It was tedious but so rewarding at the end. I did not realize that it was a competition till our art came back and I won First place. I loved doing this piece so much that I should honestly keep doing colored pencil art.
