Bio:
Real Name: Sly
Superhero Name: Shadowlight
Age: 35
Species: Wolfox (Father an angel, Mother a demon who took the forms of a wolf and a vixen respectively)
Hero Status: Part time Support Hero
Associated Groups: Associate Member of the Lady League
Classification: Minor Reality Warper
Hero type: Support/Transport
Occupation: Cab Driver
*
Powers/Abilities:
So it is Written…: Sly has the limited ability to change or “edit” reality to match what is written in a 150 yard radius around his body. If it’s a general edit with no time limit his power fades after three hours.
Magical Inkwell: Sly’s power works on existing writing, but he can also secrete magical ink from his pointer fingers and tail tip to write with as well. His supply isn’t unlimited, and this takes more concentration to use.
Air Quotes: Sly can use more of his power to temporarily write with his fingers or tail in the air as well. It only lasts for as long as he’s focusing on it, then fades away.
Blackout: Sly's power can be used to weaken those of other heroes villains for a short time. It takes a lot of his energy, but if he writes that their powers don't work, they will be powerless in his range. The stonger the super, the harder it is to maintain. So it's not something he does often.
Inception: If Sly uses his power to try to influence someone, the result will be a thought implanted in the person’s mind. His power does not control sentient beings, so they can choose to ignore the thought completely if it’s something they wouldn’t usually think. If they decide to ignore the thought the line written will simply disappear to indicate it not taking hold.
Maneki and Luck: Some of Sly’s equipment has been upgraded by Mad Science courtesy of The Iron Dragon; for instance the A.I personalities that inhabit Sly’s visor, and phone. They keep him abreast of police frequency chatter, scan the environment for him, display information like time, and directions, keep his schedule, connect to the internet, and can even connect to his cab remotely.
Adaptable Cab: Sly’s cab has also been given Mad Science upgrades by The Iron Dragon. It can be controlled remotely by his A.I assistants Maneki and Luck. It is completely bulletproof and has shield projectors that can withstand concussive, kinetic, elemental, and beam force as well. It also has projectors that can make it appear to look like other similar sized vehicles. (The car doesn't actually change) When Luck is controlling it, his cab is an independent ally for him to work with as well.
Clown Car: Sly is able to use his powers to affect his cab to transport a large number of people quickly. (Reality changes to make the inside of his sedan like a limosine) Whether it’s getting a bunch of civilians out of a dangerous area, or transporting a group of heroes (Or villians) to a battle. When Sly’s cab shows on the scene, you never know how many people are getting out of it.
*
Weaknesses:
-Mental Strain: Using his power takes concentration. The bigger or more numerous the edits are the more mental energy it takes from him. If he overuses his power he can pass out.
-Legibility: The writing he’s concentrating on has to be legible. Smudging or erasing the wording will remove his ability to use it.
-Language Barrier: Sly only speaks English. And he has to be able to read what wording he’s concentrating on.
-Shifting surface: Sly cannot write on wet surfaces.
-Not my Reality: Sly’s powers do not work in the Spirit World. Only on the material or mortal plane. They work in any dimension, but only on those dimension’s mortal plane.
-Karmic Duality: Sly works as a part time mercenary because he has to split his time between doing good, and evil deeds. For instance; when he has an abundance of good karma, he won’t be able to do heroics until he does some evil to balance himself out, and vice versa.
Only Mortal: Sly does not have super strength, speed, or durability. He is only mortal and can be harmed and even killed by conventional means.
Build: Height: 5’10” / Weight: Average
Personality: Sly has a generally fun loving and carefree attitude about him when he’s not “in uniform”. When working he comes across as professional, but optimistic.
Background: He is the result of the union between an angel and a devil. Being an offspring of both light and dark, he has to constantly keep himself in balance by doing both good, and evil deeds. He literally has to do both to balance his own inner karma out. How does he do this? He is a mercenary. This plays into who he chose to work with. It wasn’t always about the reward or who offered more. He was approached by the Iron Dragon on behalf of the Lady League to help them with another reality warper they were dealing with at the time called The Word. A long term deal was struck between the two parties. Sly would permanently fight for the heroic side going forward while within the borders of Victory City, but in return he would gain status as an associate member of the Lady League, access to their headquarters, and carte blanche to use powers within it. This plays in to his inner karmic balance. To constantly fight for good, he also needs to do evil deeds, and by giving him access to their headquarters the Lady League effectively signed themselves up to be the main recipients of those evil deeds when he needs to balance himself out. They can fight him off with their own powers of course, and there are rules in place to make sure it stays orderly and safe. Nothing he does to or with them is life threatening, but they’ve made a contract with a (Partial) devil of lust, and he’s not going to let any chance pass by to make use of their deal when he needs to. Outside of Victory City however he’s free to work as a free agent for whomever wants to hire him for his services.
Motivation: He’s driven by his own whims, but also to keep his karmic balance in check.

Victory City:
A sprawling metropolis in a world where superpowers abound. Some choose to use those powers for their own benefit, or to further selfish goals. And some choose to use their gifts for the greater good and to protect the populace from those who would use their powers for evil. The city is largely split into two halves. The heroic side, and the villainous side; with a tentative neutral zone in the middle. It's in this neutral zone where clashes tend to happen. The reality warpers that keep an eye on this world keep things in balance by way of what's known as the "karma" system. This ensures that no one side wins consecutively for too long. Each person has a balance of "karma". As the person does heroic or villainous things and wins or loses the balance is tipped in that direction. Keep tipping the scale in that direction and eventually the system kicks in to balance you out itself. I.E. if a hero is doing well in heroic work, eventually the system will force them to lose to balance out their karma. The same is true for villains.

Contract with the Lady League:
The Lady League is a group of heroines that decided to team up to better take on larger enemies or groups of allied villains. But even they sometimes need assistance to handle a bad situation. One such situation arose when a linguistics based villain named The Word got hold of a way to get to the actual Book of Fate, and was planning on attempting to rewrite fate to ensure that heroes would lose forever after. Sly was thought of as a possible countermeasure by the Iron Dragon. She'd come across him a few times in the past and remembered his ability. She figured that with his powers he would be able to help them, but she also knew of his penchant for give and take. While he could be reasoned with; he wouldn't help them for free. He was basically a mercenary, or free agent.
With few other options on short notice she tracked him down with the league and a contract was negotiated. Knowing the stakes; both sides negotiated heavily in their own interest to see what the other side was willing to accept. The wolfox didn't have a permanent allegiance and tended to side with whoever offered him the most. It was already a major problem they had one linguistics based villain to deal with. If they could keep him from becoming another, or even joining up with her then that would be for the best going forward. So for their proposal the Lady League not only wanted him to help in this fight, but to permanently fight for the heroic side. He entertained their terms, and while he didn't shoot down their proposal outright as they expected him to; his demands for compensation were steep. He wanted permanent access to the league's headquarters, and carte blanche to utilize his powers within it. If he was going to be locked to helping the heroes outside of their base, he wanted to be free to indulge in his demonic side within it. Because of his dual heritage he literally couldn't be a hero all the time, and he needed to keep his inner balance in check as well as manage his own "karma". Which meant that while the ladies of the league would gain a minor reality warper as an ally, they would also be signing themselves up to be the sole recipients of that demonic indulgence.
Pressed for time the agreement was made and he and joined the fight. He was locked in a literary duel with The Word for over two hours, each using their verbiage-based powers to attack and defend against each other. Even conserving his energy and sticking to small edits the battle dragged on long enough that the wolfox was nearly at his own limit before Bunny Hop had finally been able to flash-teleport in and end the battle with fittingly, a rabbit punch to The Word's kidneys. The Word was then unable to react in time to Sly's next attack, and the battle was over.
The Word's defeat meant that the contract was now valid, and permanent. Having each member of the League sign it inadvertently made his powers just a bit more potent on them. He wouldn't have to expend much energy to "edit" effects on and around them. In effect because he had express written permission from them; his powers were amplified within the walls of their headquarters by the contract. This was a pleasant side effect to be sure, and one thing Sly found very appealing about Victory City was that the primary kink of those living in the city was capturing. Eatlanta was where supers with an interest in vore went, Slain Diego brought in the ones who really did want gore and death, Wetsport had a focus on bodily fluids, Saddled was known for pony-play, and so on. But in Victory City, it was a safe bet that anyone who got captured either would be secretly into the various sexual shenanigans that followed, or their captor would simply be unaccountably uninterested in anything other than actual captivity, in the case where full-time dominant types got caught.
Which meant that he now had complete access to the headquarters of a superheroine team, with amplified powers, and full certainty that yes, they were absolutely into being captured and ravished. There were a pair of emergency safewords in the contract, even. "Goddammit, I'm busy" was one. It meant that there was actual important hero work in progress, or something else that was time-sensitive, or just somebody having a bad day already. The other safeword was "Overload." That one hadn't ever come up, as the karma system did tend to mean things didn't go too far in the first place, but it was there just in case. The wording of the contract, helpfully boosted by his own writing-based powers, made it clear that a safeword could not be employed unless there was a decent reason.
Being free to 'go demon' on his erstwhile teammates was helpful in keeping his own inner balance. And though actually letting his demonic side out to play meant accumulating evil karma, his heroics usually kept that in balance. He liked to call it 'training.' Getting the heroines ready for sudden sneak attacks, and ready to deal with everything that a villain might do to them when they were caught. With the certainty that they wouldn't be kept for too long; usually a few days to a week. Unlike a real capture where they were caught until rescued which could take months or even years.

Thanks.
SettaFlamowitz wrote a short piece of text explaining things since it's his world. I just elaborated on a few things.
Unfortunately you're the only one so far who seems to be excited by the prospect.

Well, don’t stop, at least for that reason. Writing in itself is therapeutic. I tried a few years ago to write a non-furry fan fiction about the game I was playing at the time, but after a few chapters I lost the motivation to continue (in part because I lost interest in the game itself). The work you put out in good, regardless of how many likes or favs it gets. And look! Someone else has just commented! See, things are already starting to improve!
Oh i don't plan to stop writing anytime soon. The question is if I'll post it or not. I already don't post 99% of the art I commission. Stories are hard to be inspired to write when there's such a lack of enthusiasm for my hard work when compared to the enthusiasm for the artwork I commission.
Thanks. I found the look to make sense since he's only part time and spends a lot of time in his cab. So it would be easier to change into than a full bodysuit. I also really had fun designing his symbol.
Glad you think his contract terms fit him. I thought they would too. I've been sitting on the first few pieces for a couple months now. Not sure whether I'll expand on them like I did with this intro. It was all written by
