My rat Ammy passed away unexpectedly a couple of days ago.

She was only a year and a half, which is fairly young for a rat. She had breathing problems for most of her life, but I never expected her to go so quickly. Even in her last days, she was as needy and affectionate as ever, and never showed any sign of pain. She used to love jumping up on my shoulder and being cuddled; she would have stayed out with me all day if I let her xD

At the time, we hadn't intended to get more rats because we had 3 already. But Ammy and her cagemate Luna were in need of rehoming, and we fell in love with them ;w;

It's been really difficult, especially now her cagemate Luna is alone, and the two of them were inseperable. We've tried to introduce her to our other rats but it hasn't gone well so far. All we can do is keep persevering :<
