This was a slight experiment with how I could possibly take the painting style I've been exploring lately and combine it back into the lineart style I used to do. It was fun to let the lineart do the talking in some areas and leave others up to the lighting, giving the illusion of detail without making it look too busy overall. I still think I like painting without lineart a little bit more, but one thing I can say about this is that it was WAY faster. I finished this in two sittings, whereas my fully painted pieces can take me weeks. Pros and cons, I guess.

I don't think you would have much trouble doing Misk without any references; Amphithere tend to be rather simple critters... Or perhaps you could do a reference sheet for him and we could tackle something more complex later in the year.
