“You know Whisper, it’s a nice day out. Perhaps we could go for a walk-“
He immediately regretted those words as he soon found himself covered in water.
If looks could kill.
Her cold, purple eyes stared back at him, as she lazily licked at the popsicle, trying to finish it off before the midday sun melted it. Too lazy, and hot to bothered with chasing after him, Whisper used her tail to splash him with water, as it shifted back to her side. Lazy lyolf.
With a defeated sigh, he dried himself off, stealing a glance in her direction. He wanted to tell her how amazing she looked; it was obvious she had been working out and her figure showed it, but he KNEW better! He figured she probably had her katana hidden somewhere nearby…
Gathering his courage, he decided to try and persuade her once more-
“But you LIKE exercising, remember?! Why don’t you want to go for a walk with me?” He knew that would get her attention; if nothing else using exercise as an excuse!
That seemed to work. Her ears twitched as she sat up in the inner tube, looking up at him-
“Fine, but only if you buy me lunch and ice cream after we finish! It is hot out here.” Gingerly easing herself up out of the water, she shook out her wet fur, purposely making sure to get him wet as well, as she toweled herself dry.
She was actually planning on getting out of the pool soon anyway, she just felt like annoying her friend. Besides, she was on vacation this week so she was in no hurry to do much of anything. She decided to humor him for a bit, get a free meal, then return to the water that evening for a long soak to relax.

Actually, I find it ironic that Whisper likes the water considering she’s part feline…
I’m just going to go ahead and apologize now because most of my long time watchers know I LOVE getting summer art of Whisper, especially in water or beach scenes! So expect more pieces in the upcoming months, at least until summer is over.
Whisper is currently in Kyoto where she has managed to find herself a cozy pool to lounge in for the day…well sort of. Her friends are under the impression she needs to be “social” and “spend time with them” instead of lounging in the water to cool off when it is 96 degrees outside (35°C)
That displeases Whisper. She rather be left alone than socializing.
Whisper really doesn’t like being bothered, but she will for the sake of her close friends and food…usually the latter.
I want to give a very special thank you to the artist behind this piece wetSealky She is new here, but I highly recommend her! She has an adorable style and she is wonderful to work with! You will definitely be seeing more art of Whisper from her!
