Zoolzerargh Airport interior is loosely based on my memories of once being stranded in Abu Dhabi Airport in the United Arab Emirates. Beautiful looking place but frightfully expensive. Physically speaking, it's a mash-up of Canary Wharf Train Station (the posh looking one you see in a lot of London-centric tv dramas and movies) and Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, India. Some of us a bit long-in-the-tooth also recognise the mural from somewhere...

Ashlaypé-on-Sea is a corruption of asclepeion (pronounced ah-skleep-peeyon). Ancient Greek healing temples, dedicated to Asclepius a doctor-demigod. It's from the rod of Asclepius we get the snake-around-a-stick insignia meaning health or medicine.
