You'll have to climb that mountain
Despite however many ways it has been portrayed...a thing such as love does not come naturally. In fact... I consider it to be one of the most unnatural motions one could have of this world.
It is slow growing, often misunderstood, and always contending with the equally powerful magnetism of selfishness and hate.
It is not an easy thing to love. And a far greater weight to maintain it through all that we experience and see.
And such a thing will not lift you, but you will lift it...because love requires above all...sincerity...and vigilance.
The truth is that if you truly want to love, you'll have to climb that mountain and carry every thing that weighs you down. Somewhere along the way you will ask yourself " Why..? Why is it that I would do any of this? "
And the answer is because love does not come naturally. That the world is filled with unimaginable sorrow, and billowing hate....and it won't always mean we hold our heads up high in victory...but that our chests will not be hollow.
We'll have to climb that mountain.....until the day it no longer requires such sacrifice and becomes our second nature.

This is a powerful piece. "Our chests will not be hollow" is the phrase that stuck out to me- and I have never been able to accurately describe that feeling. Thank you for that, and I love your artwork. The hints of the red strings flowing in different directions is such a strong detail!
