The mind of one in power, especially one who rules more than they likely should, is a fascinating thing. What goes through it when they are given a moments rest, do the thoughts wander or do they remain focused even when their court is empty?

So, I have to wonder what this handsome feline is thinking as he suffers in the heat listening to the sea beyond his walls. Are his thoughts on the mundane, like what he'll eat or attend a game? How about on the internal, does he linger on provincial unrest or the plots of pretenders? Maybe, instead they're on the external as powers weaken around him and new land seems ripe for the taking. Of course, there's also a chance the lead poisoning is setting in and what goes on in his head is complete nonsense.

Regardless of what goes on in his head he at least manages to look good doing it!
