Vleno(Vlad) Drakken was a fanatic raised by his own fanatic father. The fanatics had existed as worshipers of the Titans before they went into hiding. When Atlantis went to worship the new Titan gods, the Fanatics were allowed to fight at last, in the name of both atlantis and their titan gods. Some for all, others for one. Vleno worshiped Gaia(As indicated by his primitive like tattoo) and knew his fate was one day to die in battle, a glorious fate for all the Fanatics. But after the war that had Atlantis fighting Norse, Egyptian, and Greek gods, the Atlanteans went back to the Olympian gods. Enraged, the Fanatics launched a war against Atlantis, only to lose. Vleno tried to escape with his fellow warriors, only to have his ship sunk by Posidons waves. But even the god of the seas wrath could not stop the mother of the gods Gaia from saving one of her last worshipers. Spared of death, Vleno now travels, listening only to Gaia, and the minor gods he worshipped commanded, never questioning them. To what they have planned for him he was never told, but this did not resolve his fate. As the last fanatic, he will obey the Titans command, even if it means death.

Age of Mythology The Titans is a neat expansion pack. The Fanatics are my favorite unit in the faction, with the Destroyer close. I LOVE the Atlantis faction and the story. The idea of a people who have been abandoned by their gods, and soon another pantheon wanted to take pity on them. Though at the point I am, I have to save Kastor from other atlanteans. I Better not have to watch them go back to the Greek gods.

The greek gods were WHY they were in their predicament in the first place. Poseidon had the last door that could free Kronos on Atlantis, and he was willing to let his followers get screwed over just to fulfill his ambition. Zeus and the gods destroyed the island, sinking it, while the Atlanteans get abandoned and left on their own. WHY would you go back to them? At least the Titans seemed to give a shit for the Atlanteans. Plus they seem far more awesome then the greek gods(I usually pick Gaia) and make Atlantis more of its own culture then being a spin off of the Greeks. This is not aimed to people who like or worship the Greek gods, I just have my own reasons for not liking them.
