My guess from Xander's expression in the top panel is that Maru had perhaps told him that there was someone whom was interested in dating him, though perhaps giving him a description that would lead him to believe it was someone other than a large triceratops. In the second panel the triceratops makes a statement about what activity they'd like to do with Xander that's maybe a little extreme or frightening judging by Xander's reaction. Xander doesn't realise as yet that it was a joke.
