Alfyn: Hey Meikkiel.
RESPONSE .... Hello Captain Alfyn! How are you?
Alfyn: I'm fine.
RESPONSE .... Vocal inflection contrary to statement. Concern. Captain Alfyn, are you feeling down?
Alfyn: Haha, I guess. A bit. Just been thinking about mom and dad.
RESPONSE .... I understand. Mr. Derrin and Mrs. Derrin were good friends. There there.
Alfyn: It's fine Meikkiel. I actually wanted to get your opinion on something else.
RESPONSE .... Of course Captain Alfyn. How may I be of assistance today?
Alfyn: I was wondering what you thought of this whole mess. What you would recommend.
RESPONSE .... Processing. Additional information required.
Alfyn: I guess what I'm asking about is, after Felix and I drop off this last delivery, that's it. The license can't be renewed so we can't make any other cargo runs. Felix says we can make due for a bit on some freelance jobs he's lined up. But can we really live that way?
RESPONSE .... Query response: For Captain Alfyn and Felix to live, income is required. Freelance jobs grant income, so Captain Alfyn and Felix can live that way.
Alfyn: Right, I guess, but it's not that simple.
RESPONSE .... Additional information required.
Alfyn: You see, we need to factor in a budget. How much fuel we have versus how much fuel it takes to get to these jobs and if the jobs themselves entail using any fuel. We have to consider how much food we have on hand and the expenses there. Felix is a deckhand and he's used to MisoBiso. He enjoys other food, but he's used to the liquid rations, doesn't mind them at all. It's cheap, but I don't think I could stomach the stuff. And then there's any costs that come up with ship maintenance along the way. And then on top of all that, what happens if he gets hurt on one of these jobs, or if I do? There's just so much to consider.
RESPONSE .... I concur.
Alfyn: That's it?
RESPONSE .... I can perform calculations for you. Fuel cost calculations in progress. Menu variations in consideration. Dietary budget calculations in progress. Ship diagnostics in consideration. Ship maintenance budget in progress.
Alfyn: Umm.

Alfyn: It's fine Meikkiel, never mind the calculations. I wondered though, if I should consider selling the ship.
RESPONSE .... Calculations cancelled. Query: Is the purpose of selling the ship to acquire income?
Alfyn: That would be the idea.
RESPONSE .... Correct. Selling the ship would acquire income.
Alfyn: I know it would, but should I even consider it? It was dad's. I feel like I don't have the right. And besides, it would be a big gamble. I can't very well go home so I would have to line up a new place to stay, and have it lined up ahead of time so I wouldn't end up homeless between selling the ship and paying off the housing. And then what would Felix do? The ship is both our home's right now.
RESPONSE .... Multiple queries. Processing.
Alfyn: Never mind that.
RESPONSE .... Cancelling query one response. Cancelling query two response.
Alfyn: I don't think I could do that to Felix. Put him out like that.
RESPONSE .... I like Felix. Felix is a good friend.
Alfyn: He is, yeah. So I need to make sure I can take care of him, just like he takes care of the ship.
RESPONSE .... Relevant insight identified: Late Captain Derrin took care of his crew; Present Captain Alfyn has the same generosity. Late Captain Derrin would be proud of present Captain Alfyn.

Alfyn: I'm okay.
RESPONSE .... You are crying Captain Alfyn. Captain Alfyn, are you feeling down?
RESPONSE .... Recent History Detected. Query: Have I upset you by mentioning Captain Derrin?
Alfyn: No, I'm alright, really. That was actually exactly what I needed to hear right now. Thanks Meikkiel.
RESPONSE .... Your welcome Captain Alfyn! I am glad to be of service [cheering you up and generating advice]. Will this end your conversation?
Alfyn: Yes, thanks Meikkiel.
RESPONSE .... I love hugs! If I had arms I would hug you back!
