Schole, Stone-Shaper Serpent! (Ref.Sheet)
'Schorlé is a rare sub-species of Rock Python that has been aptly named as the 'Stone-Shaper Serpent.' Similarly to rattlesnakes, this species grows a rather large rattle like appendage at the end of their tail. This appendage however is rock-like in appearance and has several minerals embedded into it, including what appear to be gemstones. It's interior however is completely hollow and overtime, the serpents body creates a thick 'cement' like substance. Not only is this substance somewhat sticky and heavy, but will quickly set over the course of several minutes, taking the form of a light-gray stone. Thus where this species get's it's name. It's also said that the serpent can indeed speed up the setting process, by blowing onto the stone with it's Mountain-minted breath~. It may also shatter it's 'stone-structures' with a powerful 'Hissssss!' Causing the stone to crack and crumble into dust.
Scholé in particular is very fond of her goopy, stone-setting gift. There's nothing that gives her more joy, then successfully capturing a creature and watching them struggle as they find their feet completely encased within their newly set Stone-shoes. As she isn't very long in length, this is her main means of keeping her pet's around. Though his does still very much enjoy coiling their upper bodies and arms, as most other serpents do!
Like other serpents, she's also capable of hypnosis through eye-sight and hypnotic mannerisms. Notably once hypnotized, she'll lead any pet-worthy creatures to her cave dwellings and command them to stand in the perfect spot, before gifting them with some new rock-boots.
Personality-wise, she is quite devious and mischievous. Finds joy in the stony-suffering she puts on captives. Rather selfish but.... cares enough so that the worst that might entail her pet's are some very numb feet. Most of the time anyway...'
____
She was fun to make! I was actually inspired to make her by a friend going through with an idea I had and wanted to create a proper character. I'll probably draw her in action sometime soon....
She's still in the concept building stage and I may well alter some things about her later on. Feel free to suggest anything!~
In anycase, Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!
