Cynder: "Just stand still eh? Oooh when my claws are free I'll see to it that damned Alchemist won't ever get to stand again!!! Ughhh, c-can't move....Grrrrr."
Sting:"*Tap, tap* Geez that's rock solid.... Well, In hindsight.... maybe you should have taken them off first? Or heck....maybe don't trust random shady guys claiming they can turn things into gold?"
Fun doodle I wanted to do after seeing nicholaskole's Cynder + Sting: Reignited, because Sting is an adorable little bug buddy & I do like his take on a reignited Style of Cynder!~
So it's no secret, if you were to ask me what was your most memorable Sidequest & level in Spyro 2, it would the Alchemist escort & Fracture hills, & I love reignited's take on both! So.... I had a good reason to draw this alright! XD. For those who haven't played Spyro 2/Reignited (and if you haven't, why haven't you?!) one of the objectives in Fracture hills is to free Hunter from a Stoney predicament after an Alchemist's attempt to turn his Boot's into gold went wrong and trapped him in stone instead, so you then have to escort that same dopey alchemist over to Hunter, carrying a new potion to free him.
So in this particular instance... while exploring the vast Fracture Hill's, Cynder come's across this same Alchemist, whom promptly inspects her metallic Jewellery, & claims he can turn it into gold! Cynder... being a young female dragon becomes quite captivated at the idea of walking around with golden bracers... & allows the Alchemist to pour his golden-potion all over her bracers. Starting with the ones on her leg, then tail... though thankfully the potion kicked in well before he got to the one around her neck. Ultimately transforming her bracers into a thick block of stone, wrapping around her legs and tail, trapping her in place. The Alchemist quickly scarpered off claiming he'd make a cure to reverse the effect & get back to her....soon. But I have to wonder if anyone would be willing to 'kindly offer him an escort'.
