With the stun ray and the robot's extendable claw hand I imagine that this robot might be designed for capturing rather than necessarily just killing though obviously a dangerous adversary. Given that it looks relatively top heavy and has wheels, Xander probably managed to eventually topple it with creating icy terrain and get Suli to safety.
