•• I tried SO HARD to get this done before the end of Pride Month but I missed it by one day ;; I'm a bit bummed by that however I know movements like Pirde and Black Lives Matter will ALWAYS be important so there's no real time limit for submitting art ••
•• I felt really bad keeping quiet about black lives matter since I couldn't really add anything new and I'm not very outwardly political cause I KNOW I don't know all the facts. My heart truly aches for all those protesters putting their lives on the line in the USA and being met with brutality, it really makes me wish there was more I could do other than type up this text or draw a picture. ••
•• I really wanted to do something in support for black lives matter and pride but was stuck for ideas... until I realised I could draw them together! I started sketching this on the 23rd so I didn't give myself that much time between work and sickness... better luck next time I guess? ••
•• I figured my character Zalika would be great for this picture cause not only is she South African (with dark skin, unlike pastey-white me) but she's also lesbian. I also changed her character a bit so rather than being a cis-female she's now a hermaphrodite. I've never really dwelled in this area before but I'd like to see how it goes.
