Fan art of Red 13 from final fantasy 7, he's always been one of my all time fav game characters.
I got out some sketched today and I loves the sketch of this so I had to try colour it in. I didn't want to do it on photoshop as I'm very bored of doing digital all the time.
So I forced myself to do some traditional colouring for once and I'm very happy with it I loved how he was coming out so much. His hair is a bit of a fail as I can't do hair or fun @.@ but hey I still like it. It might look like I used brown for the darker orange but I didn't it's red :3.
I think I used about 20 different colours and shades for this.
I like working on small pics right now ^^.
I think I will use this as an icon on my FA page.
If you have crits or tips on doing fur and hair please let me know I want to get better at them.
Time taken over 4 hours.

Thanks I tryed doing soem but it all just blended in to one horrible layer and made it a mess @.@. I haven't use colour pencils for a year so i have forgottne loads of things. ^^ thanks I didn't want the gules on look most tend to do I wanted it to look more real-ish. Thanks for the tips on the hair I'll try get betetr with the layers on more of my pics ^^

Of course! :) Try this: http://www.portrait-artist.org/colo.....tutorial3.html It's for more realistic styles, but towards the bottom of the page it gives hints on coloring hair. Blending pencils are your friend.
