Nearly three centuries after the worldwide Catacylsm spread mass infection to the entire planet, the remains of it are still felt down through the years. While the larger, more heavily populated areas have successfully recovered into vast, sprawling, technologically-advanced, and nearly-utopian city-states, outside the city walls are another story. These so-called "outlands" are an extreme mix of pre-Cataclysmic ruins, overgrowth that has returned to nature, indigenous native tribes, and the most heavily mutated of flora and fauna.

It appears that this particular mutant has been infected by rogue nanites of unknown origin. Infused within its body, these nanites swarm about it, constantly creating visible "glitches" and simultaneously corrupting any matter within several feet of it. Though possessing two heads, it seems to have only one consciousness -- a consciousness that is feral, deranged, territorial, and predatory. What the sharp teeth and claws don't destroy, the nanites most certainly will.
