"Harassing me over a fetish" is always entertaining, especially when it pops up here on F.A. Every time I've encountered it, it's either been an alt. account with absolutely nothing in it, or their favorites include a bunch of other "browse by fetish" shit (literally more often than figuratively).
If you mean by "I drew this, so you need to draw me something back now" then you I do take offense to that, I had people try to gift me game on steam and I would reject them because they are people I do not know or ever spoken to do this, and they get angry at me for rejecting their game. and it usually some cheap as shoveware game that goes for 89 cents on steam
So an odd question & I already have an artist so I'm not asking for a commission. I have a project that will have the first stage complete in a month or so and it will need 20+ line images of mostly inanimate objects. To keep costs low is it unreasonable to cut the artist in on a percentage instead of a cash payment? Basically I'm asking the artist to take the same risk as me; I don't get paid unless they get paid. Thoughts?
Work paid for work done. You as the entrepreneur have the choice to take that risk. They could do so, but that isn't the norm. I'd feel bad at least not giving some good faith up front payment. If you're really worried about something selling then why would it be okay to waste someone else's time and effort? If you're confident it'll sell then you wouldn't withhold them some up front compensation. Sorry if I misread your intention, but your post is missing important details
