A few friends suggested uploading the individual panels of my Favorite Monsters! submission so I'll be doing so bit by bit :D

Lagiacrus to me is Best Monster. It's not fair to him to say he's just a mere "Favorite". I don't think I did him justice here though ;v;


Random ass History Drop following this so.....

Lagiacrus holds a very special place for me so while I love a whole ton of the 3rdgen mons, Lagiacrus is at the top and still is.
Anyone who knew me in 2014 would know I had a whole lot of hate towards Monster Hunter and anything pertaining to it, and would NOT be open for talking about it or its mons. I was aware of Kutku, Khezu, Gobul, Rathalos, Jaggis, Zinogre... I hated them all, just because they were MH.

Lagiacrus was the first time I saw a critter and knew full well it was MH, but actually just kinda... Something made me want to know more. I was just updating Cinema 4D at the time and the updater splash screen showed Monster Hunter, and said some of the assets involved this program or something. It specifically showed lagiacrus off to the side, the picture of him swimming through the ocean all dramatic like.
I was miffed that I had to see this for several hours (Bad internet back then) but something about Lagiacrus himself...

Eventually I ended up talking to some friends about all this, and one thing led to another and I gave the games a try - and the rest is history.
Why lagiacrus caught my attention when nothing else did? Who knows. My best guess - and this is just spitballing here - is that it was his being an oceanic creature, and I have an immense love for the ocean IRL.

Whatever the reason or reasons, it marked a change in my life - not just getting into a deep (and kinda Love-Hate xD) relation with the series I used to despise so much, but I started becoming more open and slowly coming out of a shell I hid myself in all the time. Now it's just "some of the time" x'D
