This gorgeously glowing glaze makes this darling duck dazzling from the kitchens of faydyn

Ok, i am sorry to say that i do not have exact measurements for this recipe, these are all approximate values and you may need to adjust the recipe to suit your purposes

you will need:

one duck. Mine was just under 5 lbs
1/4 cup apricot jelly
1 tbsp Chinese five spice powder
tsp soy sauce
salt and pepper to taste.

Start by seasoning your duck with salt and pepper

Glaze: melt the jelly in a small sauce pan and add all other ingredients, salt and pepper to taste.

Follow the directions cooking guidelines on the duck, If it comes with a sauce packet of it's own save it for a different recipe mine needed approximately 2 hrs at 375 when there is about 15 minutes left on the timer glaze your duck, it might need a second coat before it is done.

Roast potatoes

7 or 8 medium potatoes peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes toss with 2 tablespoons of oil. I used a mix of
Salt, pepper, cumin, paprika, and oregano.

These take a deceptively long time to roast they were almost in the oven as long as the duck stir occasionally

i also served the duck with sauce Sudoise with i absentmindedly forgot to photograph :( It is an apple horseradish sauce
you will need: a cup of plain apple sauce, (i didn't have any apple sauce at the time so i made mine from scratch i used 2 apples.)

a heaping tablespoon of mayonnaise,

3 or 4 tablespoons of horseradish

and salt and pepper to taste

chill and serve with the duck
