That... doesn't sound right? It's extremely difficult to transmit COVID through eating, period. It survives very poorly in the digestive tract. Unless you've heard something new that I haven't... feesh away, otter friends!
(Seriously, if you have any concerns about food and COVID, this is the best article I've seen, from a highly respected food scientist and all around neat guy, Kenji Lopez-Alt: https://www.seriouseats.com/2020/03.....ive-guide.html )

Just looked it up. It is NOT transferrable from seafood or other animal products; however the virus was first identified in a seafood and animal market in China, and since much of the U.S. seafood comes from China, people worried about that sort of thing.
You know how the media and public are, blowing things out of proportion and panicking unnecessarily, like with hoarding excessive amounts of toilet paper.

Yeah, I was afraid it was something like that! I read an interesting article about the so-called "wet markets" people are panicking over -- in China it basically describes ANY farmer's market with fresh food, but in America they've been incorrectly using it to describe the markets that sell live wildlife for consumption. I've read some scary stuff about those wildlife markets, but yeah, people are blowing it WAY out of proportion over here!
Ahh, and yeah. Really the coronavirus is more or less as deadly than the flu, having like a 98% survival rate and only a serious risk if you're old or have a weak immune system or are suffering from a respiratory illness or something. Only real reason to panic is because we have yet to find a cure, but it's relatively easy to avoid simply by taking simply steps to stay healthy and clean like people should be doing anyways.
