This is the final fugue that ends The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra. See the previous submission for more information. Enjoy!
(Oops... by the way... I clumsily messed with the levels of this recording, so it would be easier to hear the soft parts... but it's pretty hastily done. Not great. Sorry!)
When you hear the clarinet, that's ME. This recording is not professionally released and was given to me for FREE. It's my recording of me. 100% mine.
Instrumentation:
Full orchestra. I'm playing principal clarinet.
The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra by Benjamin Britten.
Clarinet solos performed by ME.
Sound clips were editted by ME.

I heard! Well, you and your orchestra performed it wonderfully! The woodwinds were all great, you and your clarinet were wonderful, but in an orchestra you can't really say that anyone was better than anyone else, everyone has to be tip top for a piece to work!
I've dabbled in fugues (though I'm only a guy with a piano, so they aren't as exciting as this one though I try to do nice things with phrasing the motif and what not)
I really did like it, that's an understatement, I love this performance!

Fugues are really difficult. I took elective composition in college, but I only managed to finish one fugue. Most of my fugue-like compositions were just little canons that lasted a couple of minutes. Hehehe!
Thank you so much for your comments- and also for watching me! I need to check out your gallery too! ^o^ I hope you continue to enjoy what you see here. More postings soon, I hope ^o^

Well, even if you don't post soon there's enough to listen to for a long while (I like to savour galleries a little!)
I've tried writing a fugue or two myself, they're pretty fun (though I'm a baroque fanatic, for some reason ended up writing one with two subjects, why? They're bloody hard to get right that's for sure!) As for canons, I write one a day (only post the nice ones, well, that I think are nice anyway).
I doubt I have to say you're welcome for the watch, as I think I should be thanking you, I certainly think I'll love what you do, the clarinet is a wonderful instrument (can't say it's the best, because no instrument is! Depends how you compose for it). I hope to hear more too!
