And the worst thing you can do in that situation is to tense up. If you know you're going to be in an accident and there's little to nothing you can do to avoid it, accept that it's going to happen and relax. If you relax, you're less likely to be severely injured. (Speaking from personal experience on that.)

Oh I know, was in a fairly bad one myself several years back. Thankfully i was in a 'tank', thank god for Volvo's multi crumple zones. Cops even said had I been in any other vehicle, i wouldn't have walked away from it on my own

Interesting. I work for an auto importer company that imports Volvos. Other than being Swedish, I know next to nothing about them.

The model i had, 92' wagon, had a solid steel frame and those crumple zones. Fun fact, the model also has zero recorded fatalities from crashes

Volvos of most kinds are quite sturdy, I always highly recommend them as a first time car cause of their safety record. That and one literally saved my life X3

Ive had that before, some crazy nut wanting to show me whos boss on the road, luckily I have a dodge challanger and it was raining so the road was slick, hit the gas and turned sharply for a quick 180 slide job around the curb divider in a u-turn instead of just left. Instead of hitting me, he hit the cement truck that was also turning left in the opposute direction and I was out of there unscratched, made for some interesting dashcam footage put on youtube. Dont know what happened, dont care, long as it was not me.
