And radiation in general ISN'T as dangerous as you think it is. It takes a lot, and I mean a LOT, of radiation to see any biological effects. We're talking in the hundreds of REM in a short amount of time. You only get maybe 350 millirem a year, unless you live at high altitude, then you might get as much as 500 millirem.

WE could reduce US power Bills by 70% if the US Built 40 new reactors. and the ones used in the US can stand a Nuclear Strike. There is even a place just waiting for use to store the waste if the Feds would get off there arses. And There even in the work a way to reuse the waste for 2nd stage power making

And I don't know why it's freaky, honestly. Radiation in very intense amounts CAN damage and kill living cells, but ffs you're irradiating hamburger patties. If there's something alive in there by all means kill it dead.
