The cougar on the right is another character that I've had planned out for quite a while now. He's one of the male main characters in the comic.
Brewster (working name, not sure if that's final yet) is a tall, thin cougar, not much into team sports but wants to try out for the track & field team upon entering high school. He has been close friends with the other male main character since the 6th grade, and both go to church, camp, boy scouts, and (soon) high school together.
He is quite the womanizer, even at the early age of 14. Not that he'd attempt to do anything inappropriate with a girl; on the contrary, he is a perfect gentleman (when he wants to be). He is simply one to appreciate the beauty that is blossoming all around him as he meets all of these new girls upon entering high school, and he takes every chance he can get to 'sample' that beauty. That, paired with the amount of attention he pays to his own personal grooming, has landed him quite a few dates with a wide variety of girls, even at his early age.
As a result, he's starting to earn a reputation as a 'wanderer', one who won't commit to any girl for more than a short time. He doesn't look at it that way, though.
When he's not chasing after girls, he loves playing with fireworks (he's quite the daredevil with them), enjoys Laser Tag, video games, table-top role playing games, and doing activities that present a possible danger to one's health (such as bungee jumping). He's very slick with words, and usually can weasel himself out of trouble situations with his clever explanations. Furthermore, though he doesn't want it to become wide-spread public knowledge, he has a surprisingly good singing voice and is thinking about joining the high school choir.
Here, he is checking out the mare (I'm thinking of calling her Rachel--sound good?) as she passes by.
