"I always try to be cool when I am meeting someone, but without hesitation, I avoid direct sight or avoid physical contact. It happened to me that on my first dates with guys that they would hug me or (WORSE) rest their head on my shoulder and I would get very uncormftable. Idk, I take personal space as something very important at first and if everything turns out cheesy I always ask "oh can I hug you?" Or things like this. I advance as far as the I am allowed, and I generally expect the same from the other person, although of course, I wont blame those who dont know of boundries."
