Ever notice that those who subjugate are often guilty of their own accusations? Like homophobes who turn out to be having gay relationships behind everyone's back, male feminists who turn out to be rapists, or celebrities who preach about good morals and world peace turning out to be pedophiles.
The Helius Court are fascists, but because they feel threatened by their opposition, they call their opposition fascists for taking umbrage with their doctrine and conquests.

That might make sense in this universe, but historically and rhetorically that simply ain't the case. Even in the most repressive and totalitarian of communist regimes, you were not labeled a 'fascist' willy-nilly. You were a 'reactionary', a 'counter-revolutionary', a 'capitalist roader', etc. In fascist regimes you were labeled a 'degenerate', 'anti-social', 'unpatriotic', or even just straight up called a communist. Fascists do not use the term 'Fascism' as a pejorative for those they wish to suppress or destroy.
Artists and authors take inspiration from past, present, and even possible future events for their creations all the time. It doesn't mean they're on a particular side.
I quote the creators of Zero Dark Thirty, when they were accused of glamorizing torture: "Depiction does not equal endorsement."
