That is indeed a newspaper jacket. This was a project for my Art 3 class. The idea of the project was to teach us how to put meaning into a work of art, the theme was foreclosures. We had to use a newspaper of foreclosure listings somewhere in the project. I was originally going to illustrate a picture relating to how foreclosure affects pets, but this was suggested by my teacher, and it seemed like a fun idea.

Basically got a pattern from the fabric store and made it the same way I would a normal outfit only with newspaper. I wanted to make the whole thing out of foreclosure listings, but I ran out of time. I just barely finished this by the due date.

This thing was pure evil xD Ever made an outfit out of newspaper? It's hard and evil. But I managed to do it, and everyone likes it. (even though I screwed up so much on this thing xD). Also, before anyone asks, no you cannot wear it. I glued the opening shut so that no one tries. It'll rip for sure when one tries to bend their elbows.

Anyone, fun project. I may get commissioned by a kid in my art class for a newspaper tux for prom. I'll have to figure out how to do that.
