Personality: He is a hard and determined worker, efficient and methodical towards his desired goals. Has a passion and love for getting to know people better, make new friends and have a general and genuine fun time.

Abilities: Nathaniel possesses no remarkable superpowers on his own, the only thing he naturally has in that department is the ability to generate a sensitivity aura around his hands and feet. He is apt with technology though, and has created a number of devices to assist him in place of his normal power. His prized ones are the gloves and boots he wears in his costume, as they modify his sensitivity aura into advanced umbrakinesis manipulation.

Background: Nathaniel hails from France, having moved overseas alongside his family during the moment superpowers were bestowed upon a fraction of the world's population following a certain incident. While his power was nothing to sneeze at, it still qualified him to attend the Academy for Gifted and Meta that had opened up for the purpose of teaching the affected population how to control and use their newfound powers. With his power granting him nothing in the way of natural potential, the Marten went into the path of technology instead, crafting and programming tools and devices to make use of. In this field, he was considered somewhat of a prodigy as his inventions were both surprising and astounding to many, including a Virtual Reality training room and system for the Academy.

Even after he graduated, Nathaniel continued down the path of creating technology, but now he had less of a wider purpose for it. His life was mundane, working as IT support. It wasn't enough, he wanted more, he wanted...excitement that his current position in life wasn't giving him. Nathaniel then made a decision, to don the costume and mantle of Prodigieux, a super-villain interested in having fun and enjoying himself while testing out his inventions on hapless superheroes that he would find attractive enough to spend some time with. Despite this, he never kept them past trying out or doing whatever he desired to, not wishing to have any ill feelings or grudges held between him and the heroes, even finding that some liked it enough to return of their own volition.

As time moved on, he also learned to cook better than he had known in order to repay those who he unwillingly put into a awkward position, even taking up work with the famous Simon Peregrine and falling somewhat in love with the superhero known as Ambrose.

Weaknesses: Nathaniel's gauntlets and boots are the focal point of his umbrakinesis, so any opponent who identifies them as the source need only to focus on breaking them in order to shut down his ability to use it, hard as that might be. Prodigieux is also mortal and possesses no enhanced condition, making him vulnerable to most weapons as any normal person.
