Now, funny story on how this happened. When the artist sent me the sketches for the initial "Red-Eyes Phoenix Dragon" card he sent me three choices for the card's artwork. The one I used for the regular artwork is one I thought looked the best but I went to a friend for his opinion and he says this one looks really good too. He also suggested that this could also work for a powered up form and after sitting on it for a bit I started to fall in love with this idea too. Plus, it works out as Ra also has a powered up form, Phoenix Mode and since Ra is the God of the Sun, I thought Sun Mode would work really well here and the artist agreed too.

Now, as for his effect I honestly had troubles coming up with a good effect so I thought it having a piercing effect would be good enough. To be honest, I am open to suggestions as to alternate effects. This card won't be getting made for quite a bit.
