Study for a painting of hadrosaur lovers on the beach, 95 million years ago. Have you ever seen a pair of red-shafted flickers fixing to get it on in your back yard? Well hadrosaurs were awfully birdlike, despite their 30-foot length and multi-ton mass.
I feel sure they stood face to face on the beach, noses in the air, and made stabbing motions toward the sky in complimentary rhythms, each according to their gender. After a couple of hours of this, the dino-plooking commenced. It must have worked well, since this group of dinosaurs continued for another thirty million years after the ones found at:
