"There’s a bit of significance in the pendant. Renaissance artists like Leonardo often included subtle hints or references in portraits to identify the sitter. In the case of this portrait, the clue is the pendant—an oak leaf to reference his title, and it is made from amber from the sap of the trees in his forest." -Zilong
A piece I hadn't really expected that was gifted to me by the very awesome
Zilong Taleseeker, who has a blossoming gallery that you should definitely check out and keep an eye on!
It seems like someone wanted to capture the vigor and spirit of the young green scion in a painting, and Ollimar was more than happy to pose for it. Really can't say how overjoyed I was to receive such a gift, seemingly out of the blue. I'll never quite understand WHY but I will always be grateful to be considered at all.
