So I just watched Beastars. Now let me go ahead and say that I hate the romance drama with a passion.

But not this one. I have to say that I am completely floored at how much I loved the show. I am probably going to buy the manga and I will certainly be looking forward to a season two of the show!

Legoshi has become one of my favorite characters and I almost missed out on that simply because I didn't like the genre it was in. He is so likeable and you just really want to root for him. Haru is also a great character. At first, I didn't think I would like her but she does grow on you.

The comedy was also pretty great. I especially like that the animals pretty much act like more civilized versions of their real world counter parts. I particularly find it funny that Legoshi is in love with someone who is half his size because she is a rabbit and he is a wolf.

That said, I found the show to be a little bit thought provoking and well paced, especially with Legoshi and Haru's relationship.
