An excerpt from the Skolport Trapper Bestiary:
Earth dragons are easily identifiable from their colors and sheer size. Monstrous and armored in comparison with any other breed of dragon, these behemoths supposedly possess flame breath as well and are considered immune to all weapons of man.
No earth dragons have been verifiably sighted in centuries, but the scholars insist their predecessors couldn't have been more clear about the dangers of encountering one of these beasts.
Incredibly dull for a dragon, the beasts are slow and mindless monsters, quick to serve their own appetite for flesh first and foremost, followed by a blind rage brought on by their appetite for wanton destruction.
Historical reports claim these beasts to be devour or destroy any and all that cross their paths, more akin to forces of nature than predators. In the case that any trapper or soldier happens to ever encounter a rumored earth dragon, their last service to Skolport, and to humanity itself, is to attempt to lead the behemoth away from the city before imminent death.
The second of the two headshots I got from the awesome
Murk who you should check out immediately!
I love the care Murkey took with Cain's giant chompers here, making certain to pay special attention to those enormous teeth that fill the old brown's boxy muzz. It should go without saying that such a gape, from such a dragon, carries a grim finality to most that get to behold it.
Check out that background too, all these colors are great fun.
