prawst had been banned for dumbass reasons, and kage dropped $14.60 to have it hand delivered to him by a private courier read about it here! http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1185716/
To be fair, after looking this over, I can understand Kage's POV. If a reporter asks someone attending the convention to tell them about furries, and they said something like, "Furries love to dress up in costumes and rape children"- and it were broadcast on live tv, I imagine the next year the city wouldn't get such a warm reception. Of course, I'm not saying that's exactly what he said(I couldn't find a transcript of his rapport with the journalist), but kage does have to maintain a very good reputation for us in the city. Especially with all kinds of perverts being associated with the community(That politician fellow who was raping a little boy in fursuit, for example). I can imagine he WOULD have to be extremely guarded about things people say to reporters(Who are always looking for something juicy anyways, and would rather report on the bad aspects of everything).
Although I will admit having it hand-delivered by courier can be one of two reasons: A) It was really important to kage for him to be 100% sure the guy got it
or B) He wanted to gloat over exerting his influence.
I don't know Sam personally, or very well, TBH, so I won't speculate on which of the two reasons it was, but if I had something like that hand-delivered I would have mixed feelings about it.

Of course, if I got banned for something that I shouldn't have done, I would apologise and try to work out an arrangement, if it were that important to me. An apology generally works better than groupee protests(Especially in a community as flaky/flippant as furries).
