Around the time I started drawing this chapter, I started reading the horror manga Uzumaki by Junji Ito. One story features a zombie propelled by springs. It’s a concept that I couldn’t resist referencing here (in a far less gruesome way) to help sell the idea that Cammy is capable of jumping all the way up to a person’s face.

"Uzumaki", huh? Yeah, that's a good one -- not really a fan of horror as a genre, myself, but there's no denying that Junji Ito's work is effective. Weird, sure, but he knows how to incorporate weirdness into a prevailing feeling of uncanny dread in a way that you don't see much of these days.
